Background:
In order to improve the quality of industrial metal pipes, socket welding is usually used for pipe connection below DN50. When the socket welding connection of the pipe branch needs to be made from the opening at the outer arc of elbow 1, the connection structure is shown in Figure 1: first, make one end of the short branch pipe 7 connected with elbow 1 into a shape consistent with the curved surface contour of the outer arc of elbow 1, and make a welding groove at this end; Then lean this end of the short branch pipe 7 against the outer arc surface of the elbow 1, find the branch position, and draw the opening line of the elbow 1 according to the shape of the inner hole at the end; Then open the hole of elbow 1 along the scribed line, align the inner diameter of one end of short branch pipe 7 with the opening of elbow 1, and then weld and connect it. The strength of the pipe decreases after opening, so it needs to be reinforced by opening. Usually, the reinforcement ring 5 is used for reinforcement. Therefore, a reinforcement ring 5 with a surface consistent with the shape of the outer arc surface of elbow 1 should be made of steel plate, sleeved into the short branch pipe 7, placed on elbow 1, and welded on elbow 1 by surfacing along the inner hole and outer edge of reinforcement ring 5, The reinforcing ring 5 and the deposited metal of the surfacing weld 6 play the role of opening reinforcement together; Insert the other end of the branch pipe socket 7 into the socket of the branch pipe socket 8.
