What is a Seamless Pipe?

Alloy200 is a solution strengthened, commercially pure forging material with good mechanical properties over a wide temperature range and excellent resistance to many corrosive agents, especially hydroxides. Alloy200 is modified to control carbon (0.02 max.) so that it will not be embrittled by intergranular precipitates in many processes at temperatures from 600 ° f to 1400 ° F. Generally, the element limits of nickel200 and nickel201 are combined into a double certified chemical to obtain a single alloy nickel200 / 201 with the required alloy properties.

All hot and cold working practices can be used when forming alloy200. The hot working temperature shall be between 1200 ° F and 2250 ° F, and the heavy forming shall be carried out at a temperature above 1600 ° F. Annealing shall be carried out between 1300 ° F and 1600 ° F. The annealing temperature and time should be carefully selected during annealing, which can greatly affect the mechanical properties and structure of the material.
