What is a Seamless Pipe?
Seamless pipes are derived from solid steel that is in sheet or bar form and is formed into a solid round shape known as “billets” which are then heated and cast over a form such as a piercing rod to create a hollow tube or shell. These kinds of pipes are known for their ability to withstand pressure more efficiently in comparison to other methods of pipe manufacturing processes, as well as being fast and cost-effective. Corrosion resistance
The pre value of 2304 duplex stainless steel is 25, which is equivalent to that of 316L stainless steel. When we tested the relationship between the critical pitting temperature (CPT) and chloride ion content of several steels in NaCl solution at 300mV potential, it was found that the CPT value of asf2304 duplex stainless steel was higher than 304L, which was equivalent to 316L. The test results of several steels in neutral chloride solution of autoclave show that the applied stress is equivalent to the yield strength of steel at this temperature. The test time is 1000h, and the area below the curve is the area where stress corrosion cracking does not occur. In addition, 2304 dual phase steel has good intergranular corrosion resistance and can pass the test of CuSO4 + H2SO4 copper chip method. 2304 dual phase steel has good corrosion resistance in nitric acid, which is comparable to 304L. In other acids, such as sulfuric acid, its corrosion resistance is equivalent to 316L, while in organic acids, such as formic acid, it is even better than 316L.
