Introduction

Application and chemical composition of pure nickel
Alloy 200 is a commercial pure nickel with excellent corrosion resistance. Its excellent corrosion resistance to high temperature concentrated alkali (except ammonium hydroxide).
Alloy 200 has good corrosion resistance to dry chlorine, fluorine, hydrogen chloride and hydrogen fluoride at medium temperature. It helps maintain product purity when dealing with substances ranging from food, synthetic fibers and alkalis to fatty acids and soaps. The outdoor corrosion rate of alloy 200 changes with the change of atmospheric conditions, but the corrosion rate is low. Sulfur containing environment is corrosive. The marine atmosphere is less corrosive, if any, than the suburban or rural atmosphere.
