Nickel 201 has a low carbon content, which makes the material resistant to graphitization, so it is not easy to embrittle. Alloy200 and nickel 201 are approved for the construction of pressure vessels and components in accordance with ASME Boiler and pressure vessel code, Part VIII, Part 1. Alloy200 is approved for use up to 600 ° F, while nickel 201 is approved for use up to 1230 ° F. The melting point is 2615-2635 ° F.
