Corrosion resistance
MONEL400 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in fluorine gas, hydrochloric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid and their derivatives. At the same time, it has more corrosion resistance than copper based alloy in seawater. Acid substances: MONEL400 is corrosion-resistant in hydrochloric acid with a concentration of less than 85%. MONEL400 is one of the main raw materials resistant to hydrochloric acid. Water corrosion: under most water corrosion conditions, MONEL400 alloy has not only corrosion resistance, but also less pitting corrosion and internal stress corrosion. The corrosion rate is lower than 0.025mm/a. High temperature corrosion: MONEL400 operates continuously in the air at a temperature of about 600 ℃. In high temperature steam, the corrosion rate is less than 0.026mm/a. Ammonia: MONEL400 alloy has high nickel composition, so it can resist the corrosion below 585 ℃ without water ammonia and ammonolysis standard.
