First, the thicker the wall thickness of the product, the more economical and practical it will be. P92 steel is based on P91 steel. The content of molybdenum element (0.5% Mo) is appropriately reduced. At the same time, a certain amount of tungsten (1.8% w) is added to increase the molybdenum equivalent (Mo + 0.5W) of the material from 1% of P91 steel to about 1.5%. The steel is also added with a small amount of boron. After the above alloying improvement, compared with other chromium molybdenum heat-resistant steels, P92 steel has good high-temperature corrosion resistance. The new martensitic heat-resistant steel has good processability, high-temperature creep rupture strength and good corrosion resistance. It can improve the and oxidation properties of heat-resistant steel, which is similar to 9% Cr steel, but the high-temperature strength and creep properties of the material have been further improved. The main advantage is that under the same working temperature, pressure or design life, it can further reduce the weight of utility boiler and pipeline system; Or under the same structure size, further improve the design working temperature of the structure, so as to improve the thermal efficiency of the system; At the same time, P92 steel also has better low cycle thermal fatigue resistance than austenitic stainless steel (such as 347h).
