Swage Nipples Definition:
A pipe nipple is a length of straight pipe with male threads on both ends. It is one of the most popular category of pipe fittings. It is a connector or a coupling threaded on both ends. PBE Pipe nipples are used to allow plumbing to be connected to a water heater or other plumbing. They are used to fit straight end hose or pipe. A combination of pipe nipples are recommended for low-pressure discharge and suction service for various compatible liquids and not for compressible products like air, nitrogen or steam.
Swage nipples are often used in small diameter pipe systems, and are similar to butt weld reducers. They are concentric and eccentric available, with various ends. The most common types are:
PBE nipple = Plain Both Ends
BBE nipple= Beveled Both Ends
TBE nipple= Treaded Both Ends
Titanium usage in different:
CP grade1 can be used in the deep drawing parts for it's good elogation and excellent corrossion-resistance.
CP grade2 is widely used in the commercially pure Titanium.
CP grade3 is almost only used in the pressure vessel.
CP grade4 can be used in some fittings and fastening pieces,but for complete shape need 300 degree celsius to form
Alloy Gr5 ,Ti6AL4V,is one of the most popular Ti alloys because of itscomprehensive
mechanical,physical and chemical properties.
Alloy Gr7,add little palladium in cp Titanium and it has the most excellent corrosion-resistence
Alloy Gr9,Ti3AL2.5v,is used mostly in the golf clubs and bicycle girders.
Alloy Gr12,it has the similar properties with the grade7.
